Esther Alcaraz, Esq.
Esther Alcaraz, Esq. is a South Florida native, dedicated to defending clients charged with criminal offenses. A former state prosecutor, Mrs. Alcaraz has experience on both sides of the courtroom, having prosecuted and defended hundreds of criminal cases. Mrs. Alcaraz studied at the University of South Florida for her undergraduate course work and later received her Juris Doctor from the St. Thomas University School of Law.
While studying at the St. Thomas University School of Law, Mrs. Alcaraz served as the Vice President of Membership for the University’s trial team and interned at the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security. Mrs. Alcaraz was awarded the highly regarded Book Awards in Torts and Contracts and maintained a strong academic record that resulted in graduating magna cum laude.
After law school, Mrs. Alcaraz began her career as a state prosecutor where she successfully prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and DUI cases. For the last nine years, Mrs. Alcaraz has been in private practice where she primarily handles criminal defense cases. Mrs. Alcaraz also has experience litigating domestic violence injunctions, landlord/tenant disputes and other civil issues.
Most recently, Mrs. Alcaraz has been sharing her experiences and expertise with the young legal minds of Miami Dade College where she is an Adjunct Professor with the School of Justice since 2014.
